Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Umbilical Cord Tissue

Is regenerative medicine safe?
All medical procedures carry risk. Possible risks may include pain, swelling, infection, inflammatory or immune reactions, and product-specific complications. The FDA has reported serious adverse events associated with some unapproved regenerative products. Risks depend on the product, sourcing, processing, your health history, and how it is administered, and will be reviewed during consultation.
How long does a treatment session take?
Appointments commonly allow 30 to 60 minutes, although timing varies according to the consultation, the number of areas being considered, preparation, and the planned method of administration.
When might I notice a change?
Responses vary widely. Some people report changes over time, while others may experience limited or no benefit. No specific outcome or timeline can be guaranteed, and follow-up is used to review your individual response.
How many treatments will I need?
There is no standard number that is appropriate for everyone. Any recommendation depends on your evaluation, the product being considered, your response, and your broader care plan. Additional sessions are not automatic and will be discussed individually.
What is the difference between exosomes and stem cells?
Exosomes are signaling vesicles released by cells and are not live cells. Mesenchymal stem cells are living cells with different biological characteristics. They are separate product categories with different composition, evidence, and risks. There are currently no FDA-approved exosome products, and neither category is FDA-approved for orthopedic conditions.
Is there any downtime after treatment?
Activity guidance varies according to the area and procedure. Temporary soreness, swelling, or other side effects may occur. Your provider will give you personalized aftercare instructions and explain when to resume exercise or other activities.
Does insurance cover regenerative medicine?
Most insurance plans do not currently cover regenerative injection therapies as they are considered investigational. We offer transparent pricing and flexible payment options. Specific costs will be discussed during your consultation based on your treatment plan.

Are these treatments FDA approved?
No. The FDA states that there are currently no FDA-approved exosome products, and the only FDA-approved stem cell products are blood-forming cells derived from umbilical cord blood for certain disorders of the blood-forming system. The regenerative products discussed on this page are not FDA-approved for orthopedic conditions. Their regulatory status, potential risks, and alternatives will be reviewed during consultation.
