Neuromodulators — including Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, and Daxxify — temporarily relax the muscles responsible for expression lines, creating a smoother, more rested appearance while preserving natural movement. Its effects take about 1–2 weeks to set in and re-injection is generally every 3–4 months.

What to Expect Before Getting Botox

Consultation

You'll have a consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and expectations with your provider to ensure Botox is right for you.
Preparation

Avoid alcohol, aspirin, or other blood thinners for a few days prior to your appointment to minimize bruising. No special skincare routine required, but arrive with a clean face free of makeup.
Treatment

Botox injections are quick — you may feel slight pinching or a mild stinging sensation during the procedure. The appointment typically takes 15 to 20 minutes.
Results

Results may take 3–7 days to fully show, so be patient. You may experience mild swelling or redness at the injection sites, but these typically resolve within a few hours.
Aftercare

Avoid touching or massaging the area for a few hours after treatment. Avoid strenuous exercise and lying flat for 4 hours post-treatment. View aftercare instructions.

Which neuromodulator is right for me?

Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, and Daxxify all produce comparable results. Gwen will recommend the best option based on your goals, budget, and prior experience with injectables during your consultation.

How long do results last?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months. Daxxify may last up to 6 months for some patients. Individual results vary based on metabolism, dose, treatment area, and muscle activity.

When will I see results?

You may notice initial softening within 3 to 5 days. Full results are typically visible at approximately 1–2 weeks. We recommend waiting the full 2 weeks before assessing results or scheduling a touch-up.

Is it painful?

Most clients describe the injections as a quick pinch. The needles are very fine and the appointment is brief. Topical numbing cream or ice can be applied for added comfort if desired.

Is there any downtime?

No. You can return to normal activities immediately. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, lying flat, or rubbing the treated areas for 4 hours after treatment.

What about underarm sweating treatment?

This treatment is a great way to reduce sweating up to 90% for 6 months. You can't escape the heat in Florida but it doesn't mean you have to show the sweat. Botox for hyperhidrosis is $900 per treatment.

Can I start preventatively?

Yes. Many clients begin neuromodulator treatments in their late twenties or early thirties to soften lines before they become etched into the skin. Gwen will recommend an appropriate dose for your age and goals.

Do you offer loyalty or rewards programs?

Yes! We participate in the Evolus, ASPIRE and Alle (Allergan Aesthetics) rewards program, which allows you to earn and redeem points on qualifying Botox treatments. Ask about this at your appointment.
